ARTICHAR demonstrates real-time physics-based character animation running entirely in your browser. Unlike traditional keyframe animation, characters are simulated as physical bodies with joints, muscles, and contact forces — controlled by neural network policies that generate natural, responsive motion.
How It Works
- Physics simulation runs at 200Hz using MuJoCo (Multi-Joint dynamics with Contact)
- Neural networks output joint torques to produce lifelike movements
- Characters respond dynamically to perturbations and terrain
- No pre-recorded animations — all motion emerges from physics
Technology Stack
Controls
- Drag to orbit the camera around the scene
- Scroll/pinch to zoom in and out
- Tap animations at the bottom to switch motions
- Use the side buttons to reset view or physics
VR Experience
This demo fully supports Virtual Reality! For the best experience, open this page directly in your VR headset's browser:
- Meta Quest — Use the Meta Quest Browser
- Apple Vision Pro — Use Safari
- PC VR — Use Chrome/Edge with SteamVR or Oculus Link
Once in VR, you'll have hand controllers to interact with the scene and select animations from a floating 3D panel.
